The firm now wishes to widen the range of services provided from the Aberdeen office and to further develop its presence in the oil and gas market and related industries.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will:

Be an experienced Scots law or dual-qualified solicitor;
Have extensive experience in, and strong technical knowledge of the law and procedures surrounding corporate and commercial law;
Have existing relationships, or an strong interest in building relationships in the energy sector, particularly within oil & gas and renewables;
Possess commercial awareness and good business acumen, together with the ability to build and sustain business relationships;
Have a strong and proven reputation and a desire to commit to the Aberdeen market;

Experience

The appointee will be a highly competent and well-respected lawyer. He/she will be expected to adopt a positive and generally proactive approach to the further development of the practice. He/she will provide leadership, help and support to other colleagues in the Firm. He/she will lead marketing and business development activities in order to develop and expand his/her own and the firm’s client base. He/she must have the vision, ability, and desire to further develop the Corporate Group both within the local market and across the UK as a market-leading practice, with a particular focus on the Energy Sector.
