LNG Engineering & Construction Director - US Independent E&P - Houston

Part of a three person leadership team responsible for the delivery of a major, multi-train, LNG and related gas monetisation project. This role takes full responsibility for the technical aspects of the project delivery.

Job Description

Manage the preliminary site studies and conceptual design (pre-FEED), followed by the front-end engineering design (FEED) phases of the Project.
• Responsibility for engineering contracts with EPC and other contractors, as well as EIA, field studies, and eventual EPC bidding, construction and commissioning of the plant.
• Lead the formulation of contractor bidding strategy for the project.
• Oversee major technical decisions, as well as the overall scheduling and budgeting associated with the project.
• Responsibility for the day-to-day management of staff, employee feedback, and development.
• Overall accountability to deliver a safe, reliable, and quality project on a budget and schedule agreed with the project stakeholders.

Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Petroleum related discipline, preferably engineering, and significant industry experience; gas/LNG experience being highly preferred.
• A proven track record in developing large projects, with a demonstrated performance bias in a challenging leadership role.
• The proven ability to build high performing work teams.
• Strong leadership skills in providing direction for the team through the development of goals and implementation of strategies.
• A strong understanding of key financial drivers and measures.
• Ability to work well with all levels of management (internal and external) and government, as well as individual contributors.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), engagement and team-working skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive, accustomed to being in positions of responsibility and accountability.
