The company is focused on acquiring, exploring and developing large acreage positions of unconventional and conventional oil and gas resources. This publically-listed company has, to date, focused on politically and economically stable countries, characterized by: a high regional demand for energy with existing infrastructure, allowing rapid delivery of oil and gas to market. They hold almost 15 million acres prospective for multiple BBO and TCF in three major underexplored basins.
There are particular challenges currently in marketing the company’s value to institutional shareholders and in running the company, given its disparate geographical locations.
Experience
- Experience of previously running a small E&P company with an international perspective or region/country
- Strength in strategy and planning
- Exposure to working with investors and city institutions
- Familiarity with corporate governance
- P&L /reporting a public company experience
- Experience of managing technical and non technical people of different nationalities
Qualifications
- Relevant degree – subsurface or financial
- Post graduate qualification preferable
