Bovis Lend Lease UK's outgoing chief executive Murray Coleman will be replaced by chief operating officer Nick Pollard, it has been revealed.

Bovis Lend Lease UK's outgoing chief executive Murray Coleman will be replaced by chief operating officer Nick Pollard, it has been revealed.

A Building.co.uk report states that the outgoing chief executive will be replaced immediately, as Mr Coleman moves back to a senior position in Australia.

A statement made to the firm's staff by global chief executive Mark Menhinnitt was quoted by Building.co.uk: "Nick will move into the chief executive officer role immediately, but Murray will remain in the UK until the end of the year, to ensure that a full handover is completed.

"We are all aware of the impact that the global financial crisis is having on our business, but can take comfort from the fact that the underlying fundamentals of the Bovis Lend Lease UK business are strong," it added.

Pollard began work at Bovis Lend Lease UK as chief operating officer only last year, following his position as executive vice president of Skanska UK.

Mr Coleman recently told the press that the UK branch of the company is in talks with staff over redundancies, but refused to mention how many jobs would go in the current economic slump.
